The Edge Virtual Community is a virtual format that uses cutting edge approaches and technologies to create a community of believers who live life on the edge. Who discipled by and discipling one another, and who stand united for the cause of Christ!
TEVC focuses on the age group that is statistically the most unchurched, unreached, and therefore most in need of this outreach. As Pastor Mike pointed out, the percentage of those 18 to 29 who are churched in some way, drops to just 8%.
People in this age group often find themselves at the beginning, or on THE EDGE of new challenges. Even if they have been around the church most of their lives, many lose focus on the spiritual things as they focus on the unfamiliar, exciting, or sometimes scary "life issues" that lie ahead.
Whether it's college, career, the military, having a baby, getting married, or even going through a divorce, all of these are times that we all can feel alone and unsure. In order to successfully migrate through, we must not lose sight of the One who is exceedingly able to help us navigate each of life's edges.
TEVC is a ministry that meets people where they are to provide a sense of community and offering strength, support, and resources. This ministry can reach into the lives of anyone anywhere in the world with a PC, laptop, or smartphone.
